- Scotch Plains – Mrs Delice Elizabeth Purdy Mabie, 75, widow of Charles H. R. Mabie, died unexpectedly yesterday (Apr 8, 1957) in her home, 1970 Grand St.
She was born in Nova Scotia and had lived here for five years. She is survived by one son, Henry C of 122 Ellsworth Ct, Plainfield.
She was a member of the Scotch Plains Baptist Church. Her late husband was a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Funeral services will be held at A. M. Runyon and Son Funeral Home, Plainfield, at 2 p.m. tomorrow with the Rev George Middleton, pastor of Scotch Plains Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
