- In the name of God Amen. - I Peter Mabe the younger of MalBay in the District of Gaspe Lower Canada Esquire being in health and of sound memory and understanding, but knowing the uncertainty of human life, do hereby make my last will and Testament as follows, That is to say: I give and bequeath, payment of all my just debts being previously made, The residue of all my Estate real and personal property moveable and immoveable of whatsoever kind or description and wheresoever the same may be situate and whereof I may die possessed, to my beloved wife Ann Mabe, to be enjoyed by her during her natural life fully freely, and without interruption, reversible after her decease if she shall die without issue of our marriage to my other lawfull heirs but if with issue there to our children in equal parts. And do hereby appoint my said beloved Wife Ann to be the Executrix of this my last will and Testament revoking all other Wills by me made. In testimony whereof I, the said Peter Mabe have hereunto set and subscribed my hand and seal at MalBay aforesaid this fifteenth day of July on Thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
