- Funeral Services will be held in the Olinger Mortuary at 1:30 today for Mrs Susan Mabee, 4329 Utica Street, who died in Los Angeles Tuesday.
Mrs Mabee was 75. She had lived 51 years in Colorado. She was born in 1856 in Belleville, Canada, and came to this state in 1880 with her husband W. A. Mabee.
They homesteaded near Derby, Colo, and continued to farm there until Mr Mabee's desth in 1919. Since that time she had lived at the Utica street address, with her daughter Mrs Ethel Coomer.
Mrs Mabee was a devout church worker and was a member here of Galilee Baptist Church. She had spent her winters in California for several years
She is survived by a son, Alfred L. Mabee, and a daughter, Mrs Ethel Coomer, both of Denver; five grandchildren [Harold Rogers, Grace Smith, of Los Angeles, Winett, Lucille, and Betty Coomer], a brother and a sister.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery

- Rifle – Alfred L Mabee, 81, a retired Grand Valley farmer and rancher, was found dead at his residence about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
He had been dead about 12 hours when neighbors found his body slumped over the kitchen table. He had apparently been preparing breakfast when he was stricken.
Mr Mabee had lived alone since the death of his wife in 1958.
The Mabees came to Grand Valley about 20 years ago. He was born April 28, 1879 at Picton, Ontario, Canada and was married at Greeley to the former Mildred Radke. His only survivor was a sister, Mrs Ethel B Coomer of Lakewood, Colo. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge at Boulder.
Funeral services will be held Friday in the Methodist Church at Grand Valley. The Rev Otto Duckworth will officiate. Burial will be in the Hulbert-Russet Cemetery at Grand Valley under the direction of the Snyder Funeral Home.
