  	Jacob Mabee d 20 Oct 1842 Admin ltr To the Surrogate of Orange County The Petition of Jacob Mabee Junior of the town of Warwick in said county of Orange, shows: That Jacob Mabee late of the town of Warwick in said county died on or about the twentieth day of October last past of old age; That he died at his own house, in said town, being an inhabitant thereof; That said deceased left no Will or Testament, so far as your petitioner can discover, or has reason to believe; That said deceased left him surviving, Jesse Mabee, Susan Vance, widow of Samuel Vance deceased, Nancy Roe, widow of Joseph Roe, And your petitioner [Jacob Mabee Junior] Children John Mabee and Grant Mabee, children of John Mabee a deceased son Maria Hunt, wife of John Hunt, a daughter of Ananais Mabee a deceased son Evelyn Fitch wife of Albert Fitch, Sally Hoyt (is married name unknow), Oscar Hoyt, Stephen Hoyt, Betsy Ann Hoyt, William Hoyt, and other children names unknown, children of Hester Hoyt a deceased daughter; That the above are all next of kin of the deceased, all of whom are of full age except William Hoyt who is a minor under twenty one years of age, and all of whom reside in the town and county aforesaid except Stephen Hoyt who resides at Buffalo, this state, and Oscar Hoyt residence unknown. That said deceased left goods, chattels, and credits to be administered; That goods, chattels, and credits, in the whole, do not exceed in value the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in the opinin of your petitioner: That it is necessary Letters of Administration should be granted upon the estate of the deceased. That your petitioner is a son of said deceased. Your petitioner therefore prays that Letters of Administration may be granted to your petitioner accordingly.   	Mr Increase B Wilcox, a young man who was just starting in business in this place, was called away suddenly on Wednesday, the 5th, after a few days illness from typhoid pneumonia. He just bought a good stock of goods and fitted up a store in Dr Henry Thompson's building, preparatory to opening a grocery. He was a son-in-law of Mr Jacob Maybe of the neighborhood.
