- Mrs. Annabelle Mabie, 48, of 205 West Purl St., Goshen, was dead on arrival at Goshen General Hospital early Monday morning, where she had been taken after becoming ill at her home. Born in Kosciusko County April 10, 1920, her marriage to Doyal Mabie took place in May 1941. They moved to Goshen in 1945 and she was employed by the Goshen Case Co. She was a member of the Church of God and auxiliary of the V.F.W. Survivors include her husband; one son, Jerry, serving with the Army in Korea; a daughter Linda, at home; her mother, Mrs. Nellie Bennett; a brother, Ralph Bennett, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Roberts and Mrs. Wayne Guy, all of North Webster.The Blocker-Harris Funeral Home in Goshen is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete, pending word from the son in Korea

- Benjamin H. Mabie, 83, Route 1, North Webster, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday in Whitley County Hospital. He had been ill for several years. Mr. Mabie was born Jan 26, 1889, in Garnett, Kansas and had lived most of his life in the North Webster area. He was a carpenter and was a member of the North Webster Church of God. Surviving are his widow, former Eva Snoke, whom he married in 1911, three sons, Vernon Doyal Mabie, Goshen, Verland, Mercer, Wis, and Merle, Kenneth, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Harris Troxel Funeral Home, North Webster, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev Lewis Thomas will officiate and burial will be in North Webster Cemetery

- Verlin Dean Mabie, 70, 2000 W. Wilden Ave., Goshen, who recently returned to Goshen after 12 years in Wisconsin, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Goshen General Hospital. He had been ill for some time with cancer. Mr. Mabie was a former employee of Western Rubber Co. And a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge. He was born Feb 2, 1912, in North Webster, to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin (Eva Snoke) Mabie. On Nov 23, 1932, he married Mary Helen McDevitt, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Charles and Richard, both of Goshen, and James, Elkhart; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his mother, North Webster, and two brothers, Merl, Missouri, and Vernon, Syracuse. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Chester Reed will officiate. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Elkhart County Cancer Society.

- Vernon Mabie, 70, 205 W. Purl St. Died at 1:32 a.m. today in Goshen General Hospital where he was admitted Sunday. He was born July 10, 1914, in North Webster, and was married to Annabelle Bennett, who died in 1968. A resident of Goshen 38 years, he was retired from Western rubber company and was a World War II veteran. And a member of the Goshen Veteran of Foreign Wars post. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Mabie, and a son, Jerry, both of Goshen, a granddaughter and a brother Merl, Kenneth, Mo. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the Harris funeral Home, Syracuse, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Chester Reed will officiate at the service. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery with military graveside services
