- Mrs Grace Mabie, 65, wife of Frank C. Mabie, 710 N. 16th, died at 10:15 a. m. Saturday at Mercy Hospital. She had been in failing health two years and underwent major surgery last Tuesday.
Grace Dell Wells was born Aug 4, 1887, in Van Buren County, Iowa, grew to womanhood and was married there Dec 30, 1906, to Frank Mabie. They came to Kansas in 1902, settling at Geneva where they lived until coming to Parsons in 1942. Mabie is employed at Oakwood Cemetery. She was a member of the Central Avenue Christian Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Mrs Beth Bell of Kansas City and Mrs Bessie Taylor of Parsons; one son Jesse Mabie of Parsons; three sisters, Mrs Joe Shelby and Mrs Pete Harris, both of Parsons, and Mrs Faye Murray, Springfield, Mo.; four brothers, William Wells of Drumwright, Okla., Charles of Iola, Russell of Robstown, Tex., and Glen of Van Nuys, Calif., and five grandchildren.

- Jesse C Mabie, formerly of Parsons, died Tuesday, Jan 24, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka where he had been a patient since August of 1976.
Mr Mabie was born Jan 6, 1919, at Geneva and attended schools there. He moved to Parsons in 1940, where he worked for the City Ice and Fuel.
