  	Orrin Smith Maybee, born Feb. 2, 1917 in Trenton, Ontario, Canada to Harold Maybee and Addle Beatrice Smith Maybee, died May 14, 2001 Orrin Maybee served 25 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a Major, having' served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was wounded in Korea and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with several Oak Leaf Clusters, and other decorations. Orrin was a member of Esplanade Baptist Church in Chico, as well as the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Mona M. Maybee: and children: Mickey and Billy Hayes Miki and Danny Martin, Melody and Fred Bryant, and Mark and Dean Maybee; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Service and burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Honor Court in Glen Oaks Cemetery on Monday, May 1 S 2003. In lieu of flowers, family an friends may send donations to College St. Baptist Church, 2216 College St.. Springfield, Mo. 65806. reception will follow the service
