Mrs. Maria Mabee, widow of the late J. B. Argersinger, died at her home in Fultonville, of paralysis, Monday evening, aged 75 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wilson Shelp of Fultonville, and two sisters. Mrs. Susan H. Shutts and Mrs. D. L. Van Buren of Auriesville.The funeral was held at the house yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. L J. van Hee officiating.

Mrs. Susan M. Shutts, an aged resident, died at her home in this village, at 3 o'clock Monday, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. Mrs. Shutts was the daughter of Henry Mabee of Glen and was born June 29, 1830. In 1858 she married Dow Wemple and resided In this village until his death when she removed to Auriesville. In 1877 she was united in marriage to Conrad Shutts. whose death occurred tn 1886. She was a member of Auriesville Reformed church and was most active in all its interests as long as health permitted.Mrs. Shutts is survived by one sister, Mrs. D. F. VanBuren. of Fultonville; one niece, Mrs. Wilson Shelp; and three step-children, Mrs. Jay Irving;, Mrs. N. J. Quackenbush of Auriesville, and Mrs. Joseph Quackenbush , of New York. The funeral will be private and will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at her home. Rev. E. B. Irish will officiate and interment will be made in the family plot in Maple Avenue cemetery

The death of Mrs. Charlotte Mabee Van Buren. wife of Daniel F. Van Buren. occurred at her home on Broad street [Fultonville] at 3 o'clock Sunday morning. Mrs. Van Buren suffered a stroke of paralysis Thursday night and her condition was considered serious from the first. She was born in the town of Glen, March 8, 1842, the daughter of Henry and Katharine Mabee. October 22, 1879. she married Daniel F. Van Buren. and resided in the vicinity of Mill Point until four years ago, when the family moved to this village. She was a member of the Reformed church of Auriesville. Mrs. Van Buren is survived by her husband, a niece, Mrs. Wilson Shelp, of Fultonville. and three cousins, Fred S. Haslett, of Fort Plain, Mrs. W. G. Waldron and Mrs. Charles B. DeGraff, of Amsterdam. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, the Rev. E. B. Irish officiating. The Interment will be in Maple avenue cemetery. |
