  	Mary Jane Mabee quietly passed away at midnight, Saturday Nov 9, 1901, in Chetopa after an illness of two yerars. She was born in Canada Feb. 2, 1828, was 73 years old and had lived in Chetopa twenty-seven years. She was the mother of ten children, six daughters and four sons, all living except three daughters. The funeral was conducted from the home of her son, N. J. Mabee, Monday afternoon by Rev H. M. Gilbert. The burial was in Oak Hill cemetery
