- Steven T. Maxam, 45, of Woodington Court, Granger, Ind., died early Saturday morning , Sept 26.
Mr. Maxam was born on Sept. 8, 1953, in Indianapolis, Ind., and had lived in the South Bend-Granger areas since 1979, coming from Indianapolis.
On June 12, 1975, in Indianapolis, he married Karen L. McKinney, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Brett S. Maxam and Michael T. Maxam, both at home; his parents, Evelyn J. and Dr. B.T. Maxam of Indianapolis; a sister, Carol B Nicewander of Indianapolis; and by two brothers, Thomas E. Maxam of Indianapolis and Andrew Maxam of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr Maxam was a senior sales representative for Ethiconendo-Surgery, Inc., which is a distributor of laproscopic surgical instruments.
He was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., and was affiliated with the Sigma Chi Fraternity. In the past Steve had served as a coach in the Michiana Soccer Association and Harris Township Junior Baseball.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday in the Clay United Methodist Church, 17646 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with Dr. John Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend.
