- Mrs Alice Mabee Douglass, of New York, a former Birmingham woman, died Friday at the residence of her daughter, Madame Roawl Chartintere, 2295 Montgomery Road, Cleveland, Ohio.
The body of Mrs Douglass will arrive in Birmingham Monday and will taken to the Elmwood Chapel, where funeral services will be held, burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs Douglass was prominent here and for many years was an active worker in church circles.
Her daughter, six sisters, Mrs Virginia M Clark, Mrs W J Thompson, Mrs N H Burt, Mrs C M Lauritzen, and Mrs Irene Gibson, of Chicago, and Mrs Dwight Stagg of Newark, NJ; and four brothers, Carl, Truman, Nagee, of Louisville, Ky, and Aaron, of Whittier, Calif, survive.

Mabee, of Chattanooga; six sisters, Mrs Virginia M Clark, Mrs W J Thompson, Mrs Cecilia N Burt, Mrs Odessa Spragg, all of Birmingham; Mrs I M Gibson, Mrs C M Lauritzen of Chicago; four brothers, J T and C F Mabee, both of Chicago; Aaron and George Mabee of California.
