- Oliver Mabee, a retired coffee roaster, died at his 13320 SE Powell Blvd residence Sunday. He was 80.
Prior to retiring in 1964, Mr Mabee was an employe of Golden West Coffee Co.
He was born Aug 10, 1890, at Dayton. He farmed at Dayton and McMinnville prior to moving to Portland area.
Funeral will be Wednesday in the Sunrise Chapel of Portland Memorial Funeral Home. Private inurnment will follow.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel; three sons, Delmar of Pasco, E. Daryl of Falls Church, Va, and Donald of McMinnville, brother Frank of Tucson, Ariz, and a sister, Mrs Carrie Dannals of Yucapia, Calif. There are eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

McMINNVILLE – Donald F Maybee, 79, died Thursday at a Portland Hospital.
A native of McMinnville, he graduated in 1937 from McMinnville High School. He played varsity football for three years at University of Oregon. After coaching in La Grande for five years, he returned to McMinnville in 1951 to coach football at the high school. He was head football coach there until his retirement in 1980.
He lead the Grizzly football teams to nine leage championships. He also coached track and field for 20 years, winning six league titles. He was the school's head basketball coach in 1970 and 1971.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and Elks Lodge No. 1283
Survivors include his wife; son, Michael of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughters, Judy Endecott of McMinnville and Jeri Kost of Milwaukie; brother, Daryl of Lake Oswego; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at the church. Private interment will be at the Hopewell Cemetery.
