- Goldthwaite, Oct 26 (Spl); Funeral services for Joseph Simon Mabee, 77, of Goldthwaite were held Thursday in Greenfield, Mo., with burial in Lockwood. Mo. Mr Mabee, a native of Missouri died Tuesday in a Childress hospital. Survivors include two sons, Louis Mabee of Goldthwaite and Guy R. Mabee of Belton.

- Services for Joseph Louis Mabee, 58, of Rt 1, Brownwood, will today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with burial to be at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Rev Curtis Keith will officiate.
Mr Mabee died at 6:25 pm Saturday at the Brownwood Community Hospital following a long illness.
He was born May 18, 1915 in Dade Co, Mo, and was a retired rancher. Member of the First Christian Church, he had lived in Brown County for 19 years. He married Vida R Austin at Lockwood, Mo, June 17, 1939.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Neil Mabee of Brownwood and Douglass Mabee of Dallas; two brothers, Guy Mabee of Midland and Jules Rhine of Northfield, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
