  	Virgie G.E. Butcher (Mabee), formerly of Port Burwell, passed away peacefully at Eden House, on Saturday, January 05, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Rex (1991). Loving mother of Linda & James Richmond of Acton and Brenda & Don McLeod of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Predeceased by her step-son Jack Ambo (1993). Cherished by her 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Austin (Jean) Mabee and sister-in-law Shirley Mabee as well as many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brothers; Walter, Clarence and Donald and sister Marion. Virgie was a long time resident and tobacco farmer in the Port Burwell area and a former member of Areme Chapter O.E.S. The family wishes to thank the staff at Eden House for their compassionate & understanding care. Family and friends will be received at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Mabee officiating. Interment in St. Luke's Cemetery, Vienna. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Charity of Choice would be appreciated.   	The family sadly announces the passing of Austin Mabee in his 86th year on Tuesday April 5, 2022, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Loving husband to Jean for over 52 years. Son of the late George and Nancy Mabee (Rice). Loving father to Carl Vyse, Karen and her husband Kelvin Vaughan. Loving father to a special niece Tammy and her husband Peter Classen and grandchildren Kara, Douglas, Tyler, Domanick and Christian and a special niece Nancy and her husband Steve Reading and grandson Shawn and a special nephew Lyle Hosner. Survived by sister-in-law Shirley Mabee and Fay Hosner as well as several nieces and nephews and grear nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Walter, Clarence and Donald as well as sister Virgie Butcher and Marion Baxter
