- Thomas F. Mabie, 69, of W2863 Neda Road, Iron Ridge, Wis., died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 11 a.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Jane Haass will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Mayville.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1936, in Kennan, Wis., the son of George and Dorothy (Minett) Mabie.
On Oct. 21, 1961, he married to Phyllis Cornwell, in Kennan., Wis.
Thomas worked as a logger in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota before moving to the Mayville area. He was also employed at Chrysler Outboards of Hartford and by the township of Hubbard. He enjoyed small engine repair, gardening, the Packers, NASCAR racing, and deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; his children, Robin (fiance Lenny Heintz) Larson of Mayville, Jay Mabie of Juneau, and Brenda (Gene) Reuter of Montello; four brothers, Richard Mabie of Hawkins, Robert (Jackie) Mabie of Medford, James (Barb) Mabie of Catawba, Wis. and Michael Mabie of Kennan; three sisters, Shirley Merrick, Milwaukee, Mary (Fred) Sewell of Bartonville, Ill., and Helen (Don) Zimmerman of Westboro, Wis.; four grandchildren, Bob Larson, Becky Larson, Bret Reuter, and Kyle Reuter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His parents preceded him in death.
Services: The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006, at the Funeral Home in Mayville. The Rev. Jane Haass will officiate, and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Mayville.
Visitations: Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006, at the funeral home, and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at the funeral home.

- Richard J. Mabie, 73, of Hawkins, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at his son's home in Hurley.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1939, in Kennan, son of the late George and Dorothy (Minnett) Mabie.
Richard served in Korea in the United States Army. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bicyclist who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by two sons, Russell, of Hawkins, and Clint (Sydney), of Hurley; six grandchildren, Mindy (Seth) Dabler, Cindy (Tim) Houser, Kyle (Alex) Mabie, Cole (Becca) Mabie, and Adam and Jacob Mabie; two great-grandchildren, Dexter and Shelby Dabler; three brothers, Jim (Barb) Mabie, of Kennan, Bob Mabie, of Medford, and Mike Mabie, of Kennan; three sisters, Shirley Merrick, of Milwaukee, Mary Lou (Rocky) Sewell, of Bartonville, Ill., and Helen (Don) Zimmerman, of Westboro; and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one brother, Tom.
Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at the Range Community Bible Church in Hurley. Luncheon will follow.
Arrangements are by Range Funeral Service and Crematory, Ketola-Burla Funeral Home of Ironwood.

- Robert "Bob" J. Mabie, age 70, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2014, at his home while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hope Hospice.
He was born in Kennan on Aug. 8, 1944 to George and Dorothy (Minett) Mabie). He attended Kennan schools and graduated from Phillips High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1965 to 1967. When discharged, he moved to Bartonville, Ill. and began working at Keystone Steel and Wire.
Bob loved being around family and was known as U.B. to the nieces and nephews. In 1973, Bob married Jackie Peterson of Westboro, and they had two sons together. They later divorced. Bob retired in 2001 after 31-1/2 years at Keystone and moved back to Wisconsin to be with Jackie, his sons and grandkids. He loved to fish along the mill pond, walk five miles daily, enjoyed coffee at McDonald's, making people smile and talking to people.
Bob is lovingly survived by Jackie Mabie; sons, Bobby J. (Clover) Mabie and Christopher G. (Jessica) Mabie, both of Medford, and Brad (Alexandra) Peterson of Wausau; 10 grandchildren, Zek, Ambernette, Alex, Sebastian, Harley, Erik, Nicole, Brandy, Brent and Bianca. He is further survived by three sisters, Shirley Merrick of Milwaukee, Mary (Fred) Sewell of Bartonville and Helen (Don) Zimmerman of Westboro; two brothers, Jim (Barb) Mabie and Mike Mabie, both of Kennan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom (Phyllis) Mabie of Mayville and Rich (Darlene Blackwell) Mabie of Kennan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the family for future designation.
