- George E. Martin - "He has slipped the surly bonds of earth..." A resident of Chatham and formerly of Wallaceburg, George E. Martin died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Sue (Maybee) Martin for 39 years. Loving father of Tim and Christine Martin of Oakville and Dan and Carolyn Martin of Chatham. Much loved grandpa of Thomas George Martin of Chatham. Born in Strathroy, son of the late Kenneth and Vivian (Mitchell) Martin. Brother of Ray and Margaret Martin of Ottawa, Ernie Martin of Strathroy, Jeanne and John Van Rossum of London and the late Ken Martin. Brother-in-law of Loretta Martin of LaSallette, Sandi and Duane Howes and Ted and Betty Maybee, all of Thunder Bay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. After his retirement from Bell Canada in 1999, George immersed himself in his true passions- woodworking and cooking. The fruits of his labours will be missed by many while his workshop creations continue to bring joy and comfort. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006 from Holy Trinity Church, Chatham with Rev. John Hodgins officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. Donations, made by cheque, to the London Regional Cancer Centre or Holy Trinity Church Building Fund appreciated.

- Mr. Duane L. Howes, aged 74 years, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Duane was born on April 9th, 1935 in Fort Frances, Ontario to his parents the late Molly and George Howes. Duane was a professional engineer who retired after working for the City of Thunder Bay for many years. He will be fondly remembered by his good friends in both Thunder Bay and Fort Frances areas.
Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Maybee); a loving brother of Dennis (Jeanine) of Ottawa; brother-in-law of Edward (Betty) Maybee of Kaministiquia and Susan Martin of Chatham. Much loved uncle of: Brad (Pauline), Rod (Brenda), Jeff (Belinda) and Trevor (Carol) Howes; Jim (Tiffany) Maybee, Leah Anne Maybee; Tim (Christine) Martin and Dan Martin. Also surviving are many wonderful great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for the late Mr. Howes will be held in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. with The Venerable Andrew Hoskin of St. Thomas Anglican Church officiating. Services to be completed in the Chapel with Cremation to follow. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home. Interment of the Ashes will be held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Duane's memory to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre or to Westway.

- Edward "Ted" Campbell Maybee, age 75 years, passed away at home on Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Ted is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty", son Jim (Tiffany), Salmon Arm, B.C.; daughter Leah Ann, Fort McMurray, Alberta, grandchildren Cole and Olivia; sisters Susan Martin, Chatham, Ontario, Sandra Howes, Thunder Bay; brother-in-law Joe Paldio, Pinewood, ON; nephews Mark Paldio, Tim and Dan Martin and his co-pilot "Oscar". He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Susan, brothers-in-law Duane Howse and George Martin.
As per Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place with private interment at a later date. No Services will be held.
If friends so desire, donations made in Ted's memory to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated
