  	On the front page of the Orange County Independent of Middletown, NY, dated Thursday, March 28, 1929 was the report that William Mabee, a painter of Middleton, was sentenced by Judge Wiggans to four months in county jail, for failure to support wife and five children. In consequence of this abandonment his children were placed in county custody.
