- Robert Martin Sherman, 51, passed away on April 5, 2018 in Albany.
The son of Evelyn (Mabee) Sherman and the late Edwin "Marty" Sherman, Robert was born on April 9, 1966 in Troy, NY.
Robert served his country honorably and faithfully in the US Army. Reaching the rank of Specialist, Robert served during the Persian Gulf War as a Computer Specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1991.
After his service he worked as a Fire and Smoke Alarm Specialist in Albany. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed sports, fishing and music.
In addition to his father, Robert was predeceased by his nephew, Andrew Sherman.
Robert is survived by his daughters: Kayleigh (Kyle) Rigney and Chelsea Sherman; his granddaughter, Olivia Rigney; his loving mother, Evelyn Sherman; his siblings: Manuel and Barbara Mabee, Mark and Caroline Sherman, Richard and Maria Guadalupe Sherman and Steven Sherman; his former wife, Erin Sherman; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial with military honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

- Nicholas D. Mabee, III, age 85, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Garnet Health Medical Center. Nicholas was born December 4, 1936 in Middletown, NY. He is the son of the late Nicholas and Mabel (Longworth) Mabee.
Nick, best known as "The Archway Cookie Man", was a loving and caring father and grandfather and was always involved in his community. He was a Naval Reserve Veteran, a past member of the Cataract Engine & Hose Co. and served as a Warden and Vestry member at St. James Episcopal Church. When his children were growing up, he was always involved in their sports and activities including, running the summer and winter Goshen Recreational Basketball Program, coaching Little League, and driving the school bus part-time to sports events. He was an outdoorsman and loved camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and sharing stories about growing up and working as a young man on his family farm in Goshen.
He is survived by his five children: Brian Mabee and wife, Ammy of Sunnyvale, CA and their sons Nicholas and Michael, Keith Mabee and wife, Anne of Sparrowbush, NY, Wendi Mabee and wife, Colleen of Tucson, AZ, Matthew Mabee and wife, Lorraine of Westtown, NY and their sons Aaron, Evan and Kyle, and Brenda Kurth and husband, Fred of Greenville, NY and their sons Quentin and Ryan; and his sister, Evelyn Sherman, sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Steve Vogt, and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lisa Mabee. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Roberta (Holden) Mabee and his brothers Donald Mabee and Eugene Mabee.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 5, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at St. James Episcopal Church, 1 St. James Place, Goshen, NY with The Rev. M. Carl Lunden officiating. Inurement will be immediately following the funeral service in St. James' Church, Goshen.

Colonie-Evelyn M (Mabee) Sherman, 85, passed away on August 27, 2025 at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Middletown, NY on February 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mabel Longworth Mabee.
Evelyn was raised in Goshen, NY and attended Goshen schools. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her five sons, she worked for ARC Rensselaer County in Troy, NY for over 20 years as a workshop supervisor, retiring in 2002. Evelyn enjoyed attending church services and volunteering for her church. She especially loved spending time at her sister Doreen’s home visiting with family and friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her son Robert Sherman; grandson Andrew Sherman; siblings Nicholas, Donald and Eugene Mabee and her former spouse Edwin Sherman.
Evelyn is survived by her children Manuel and Barbara Mabee, Mark and Caroline Sherman, Richard and Maria Guadalupe Sherman and Steven Sherman; grandchildren Richard Caleb Sherman, Kayleigh (Kyle) Rigney, Chelsea (David Wood) Sherman, Nicole Mabee; great grandchildren Olivia and Henry Rigney; her siblings Doreen (Steve) Vogt and Richard (Lisa) Mabee. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
