Anecdote |
- Royal A Mabee was a Massachusetts banker who is considered to be a important genealogist and was an generous contributor of information to the early Maybee Society.
In mid 20th century, he visited and corresponded with Mabies (of all spellings) in the United States and Canada. His information was principally based on extensive interviews with these Mabies. The original of Royal's notebook is at the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. Because Royal's information was principally based on interviews with descendants. There is a significant chance for error in his dates for early generations
