  	Oliver D. Mabee was born Jul 18, 1825, at Victoria,,Canada. He married Susam Williams in 1848 and moved the same year to Goshen, Ontario. In 1872 they moved to Clinton Co., Iowa and in 1879 they moved to Turner County where they homesteaded in Germantown township. Eight children were born to Oliver D. and Susan Mabee: A son, John, and a daughter Mary, preceded him in death; living at the time of his death were: Gabe D. Mabee, Oliver Mabee, Freeman H Mabee, Maitland Mabee, Mrs. L. W. Cooke and Mrs. W.C. Walker. Susan Mabee, his wife, also pre-deceased him, and he married Matilda Bechtel of DeWitt, Iowa on Sep 19, 1899. Oliver D Mabee died on Dec. 11, 1908. They moved into Parker from the farm and were residents of Parker for several years. the Mabees were Baptists."
