  	Little Frances Maybee is dead. The word flew over town, as on the wings of wind, last Saturday morning. Wherever it touched it left sorrow, and the expressions, of sympathy for the bereaved ones were many and from the heart. She was ill but a few days, from appendicitis. Little Frances' age was 8 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was the only Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Maybee, an exceptionally bright and happy child and the sad news of her sudden death cast a shadow over the whole community, for all her short but happy life had been spent among us, and every heart was touched with sympathy. Rev. Dugger conducted the services at the M. E, Church, Sunday afternoon and the appropriate words and sweet, solemn music touched every heart. Loving hands tenderly laid the little form to rest, in the Laclede Cemetery, the somber sky being in true accord with the solemn scene.
