Holley, New York [6] |
- Mrs. Mary Maybee passed away at the home of her daughter Eliza Sept. 8 aged 61 years seven months, only being confined to her bed one week. She had not been well for a year, but the end came suddenly at the last.
She was married to Leonard Maybee, Sept. 25, 1861. They walked the pathway of life together for nearly 43 years. Eleven children were born to them, four having died in childhood and three after growing to womanhood. Two sons and two daughters, an aged mother and husband, three sisters, three brothers, and 14 grandchildren are left, who feel their lose greatly, but they knew that their loss is her gain.
Mrs. Maybee was a loving mother and kind friend always ready with out-stretched hands to help in any way she could.
She will be missed by her husband and children who have the sympathy of all.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from Sandy Creek church, Rev. Stanley officiating. Interment in Hillside cemetery
