- Funeral services for William Henry Maybee, a resident of Friendship for many years, will be held Friday afternoon (November 9, 1945) at two o'clock at the home here. The Rev Martz Snyder, pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Belfast.
Mr Maybee died at his home Tuesday (November 6, 1945). He was born in Allentown March 2, 1878, the son of Phillip and Lydia Maybee. He was a member of the Maccabees and the First Baptist Church of Friendship. Surviving are his wife Mrs Una Matthews Maybee, two sons, Guy L. Maybee, Olean and Paul Maybee Lancaster; one daughter Mrs Katherine Lehman, Belmont; and one sister, Mrs Elizabeth Weatherby, Oklahoma City, Okla

- A former resident of this village [Middleport] and a teacher in schools in the Town of Royalton and in Erie County, Mrs. Dora Venthin [Benthin] Maybee, 58, wife of Paul Maybee, Freeport, Long Island, died Sunday (Oct. 16, 1960) at Meyer Memorial Hospital, Buffalo.
Born June 21, 1902, in the Town of Hartland, Mrs. Maybee, was a daughter of Fred and Ernestine Newman Venthin. She was a graduate of Middleport High School, Buffalo State Teachers' College and of the University of Buffalo. She also did graduate work at Columbia University, New York City and attended Adelphi University, Garden City, Long Island, where she specialized in teaching of retarded children.
Mrs. Maybee was a member of the Baptist Church of Freeport and had taught retarded children in schools there for the last 13 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ernestine Venthin Keihl; two sisters, Mrs. Adna Short and Miss Ethel Keihl,. all of this village. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Keihl, Pearson Road, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Harold Ball of Johnson Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery

- Paul R. Maybee of 92 Sherman St., died Wednesday, May 9, 1973, at his home.
Born Jan. 8,1909, at Friendship, he was a son of William and Una Maybee. He was married at Belmont in 1963 to the former Patricia McCoy who survives. Mr. Maybee had resided in Friendship until moving to Belfast in 1969.
Mr. Maybee was a retired dairy farmer.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are his mother, of Belfast; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Katherine) Lehman of Belfast; a brother, Guy Maybee of Olean; and two nieces.
Funeral and committal services were held Friday, May 11,1978 at the Davis Funeral Home, Friendship with the Rev. Harmon Dickinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Friendship, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Belfast
