- Funeral services for Ray Elwin Mabie, forty-one years old, a salesman for the Pierce Oil Company, who died Monday morning at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Daniel Mabie, 2704 Lafayette street, will be Wednesday afternoon at Melierhoffer's chapel. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Mr Mabie came to St. Joseph three months ago from Jefferson City for his health. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Mrs Frances Mabie; a son Charles D Mabie; a daughter, Miss Sophia A. Mabie; a sister, Miss Lola L. Mabie; and three brothers, A. P., P. G., and R. A. Mabie, all of St. Joseph.

- Mary R (Kneib) Mabie, 67, of 268 Knapp Drive, died today on Community Hospital, where she had been a patient three days. She had been in failing health five years.
She was born in Easton, Mo, and moved to Battle Creek in 1963 from Portsmouth, Va. She was employed as a clerk by the Defense Logistics Services Center at the Battle Creek Federal Center for eight years and retired in 1975. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Mabie; a son Philip R Mabie of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs Daryle (Josephine Ann) Stuckey of Nevada, Ohio; four grandchildren; her mother Mrs Josephine Kneib of Savannah, Mo; and sisters, Mrs Earl (Helen) VanCleve, Mrs William (Joann) King and Mrs Robert (Rita) Welsh, all of St Joseph, Mo, Mrs B J (Marguerite) Eiberger of Strawberry, Mo, and Mrs Ernest (Dorothy) Yackley of Taylor, Mo.
Services will be held Tuesday in St Joseph, Mo.

- Sophia A. (Mabie) Winders, 78, of Battle Creek, Died Wednesday, Feb 5, 1992, in Battle Creek Health System/Liela Site.
She was born on Jan 19, 1914, in Shannon County, Mo., to the late Ray Daniel and Frances (Bealert) Mabie.
She came to Battle Creek from Arlington, Va., in 1962. She graduated from St. Joseph Central High School in Missouri.
She was a Veterans Administration records researcher in Washington, D.C., for more than 20 years. Her husband, Calvin Winders, died in December 1971.
Surviving are a brother, Charles B. Mabie of Battle Creek; a niece, Josephine A. Stuckey of White Stone, Va.; and a nephew, Philip R. Mabie of Battle Creek....
Services Saturday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery
