  	Charles Mabie, city marshal at both Colfax and Valley Junction for a number of years, died this morning at his home in Valley Junction after three years ill health. He occupied the marshal's position at the latter place for three years, resigning because of his health. He is survived by his wife and one son, Glenn of Valley Junction; six brothers, William, Knoxville, Jonas, Bucknell, Edris, Springfield, Ill, Alex, Valley Junction, Oliver and Gomer of Colfax, and three sisters, Mrs William Rhoades of Oskaloosa, Mrs J E Evans and Mrs Harry Darrok of Colfax. Funeral services will be held at the Valley Junction Christian church Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Glendale cemetery.
