- Mrs. John Duke Jr., after a short-illness, died early Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. John H. Butler, of the Methodist Episcopal church, and burial was made in Grandview cemetery. Her maiden name was Jessie Jane Maybee, and she was born September 7, 1893, at Greenville, Pa. She was married on April 11, 1911, at Bergholz, to Mr. Duke, who survives with two children, Maude M, aged 7, and Eva L, aged 3-yrs. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Maybee, reside at Harlem, and surviving brothers are George and Roy Maybee, Canton, and Lawrence Maybee, Alliance.

- Mrs. Elizabeth Maybe, wife of R. H. Maybe, died Thursday last at her home in Harlem Springs. funeral services conducted by her pastor F. W. Sigler, were held at the home, Saturday at 1:30. The deceased was born near Harlem Springs, February 21, 1855, he maiden name being Lawrence, and with the exception of a few years of her early married life spent in Pennsylvania, most of her life was spent near Harlem Springs. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. On October 17, 1889, she was married to R. H. Maybe, who survives, together with three sons, Lawrence of Alliance and Roy and George of Canton; two granddaughters, Maude and Eva of Harlem Springs; two brothers, John and James Lawrence of Carrollton, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Johnston of Harlem Springs.

- R. Homer Maybee 74, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home of his son, George A. Maybee, 210 Hartford Avenue, S. E. Canton. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Tuesday evening. For many years he was a resident of Harlem Springs, but he leaves three sons George and Roy, of Canton, and Lawrence of Alliance and two grandchildren, Maude and Eva Duke of Carrollton. Funeral services in charge of Rev. B. H. Fisher, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Methodist church at Harlem Springs. Burial will be at Harlem Springs.

- Roy Maybee, 57, a former resident of Harlem Springs, died on Thursday, July 29, at his home in Canton from a heart seizure. His father was Homer Maybee. He had resided in Canton for 30 years. Surviving are two brothers, George of Canton and Lawrence Maybee of Salem. Services were held Saturday afternoon at Canton with rev. Paul Gordon officiating. Burial was made in Harlem Springs Cemetery.

- Lawrence Maybee, 81, of 701 Elizabeth Street, Minerva, died Friday in Carroll County Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired warehouse worker for a Cambridge pottery.
Mr. Maybee is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Christy, with whom he resided. His wife, Vivian, preceded him in death in 1969. Services were held Monday in the Bartley Funeral Home at Minerva. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
