  	Services for Gomer Mabie, 45, of 837 Nineteenth st, who was fatally injured Wednesday in an accident at the Shuler Coal Co mine near Waukee, Ia, will be today at Newton's Funeral Home, with burial at Colfax, Ia. Mabie, a mule driver in the mine, was pinned to the wall by a car that jumped the track, members of the family said. He died at Mercy Hospital at 3 a.m. Thursday. Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Mrs Mary Jane Evans and Mrs Sarah Darrick of Colfax, and three brothers , Alec of West Des Moines, William of Knoxville, Ia, and Jonas, living in Illinois.

  	Mrs. Phyllis Marguerte Mabie, 50, widow of Gomer Mabie, died at 1:40 a.m. today at her home, 307 North Ninth Street. Death resulted from cancer, which had kept her bedfast many months. Mrs. Mabie came to Goshen 5 years ago from Des Moines, Iowa. She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Jan 31, 1895, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Marshall. Surviving are a son, Jack Raymond Howard, of Denver, Colo.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wilsen of Goshen, and Mrs. Morris J. Larson of Des Moines; 3 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Clark Jones, also of Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Culp funeral home, in charge of the Rev. V.E. Sears. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
