  	Thursday afternoon Miss Kate Rosalie Mabie, aged thirty appeared at the County Clerk's Office in Alameda county with an elderly lady and procured a License for herself and Edgar Mantell de Motte to marry. She asked if the license was good any where in the State and was told that it was good only in Alameda county. She then requested that the matter be not published for one week. She made affidavit that De Motte is fifty years of age. He is in the employ of Sherman Clay & Co. The residence of both are given as in San Francisco
