  	George William Mabee, 51, of 62 West Side drive, a Schenectady realtor, died suddenly yesterday morning at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born in and had lived in Schenectady until moving to Ballston Lake about three years ago. Mabee was active in community affairs serving on the official board of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church of which he was a member and also assisting with projects including the fund drive for the Ballston Lake special deputy force. During World war II he served in the .navy. He was also a member of the Schenectady Real Estate Board, the Elks club in Schenectady and the IOOF lodge at Burnt Hills. He had an office for real estate at 802 Eastern avenue, Schenectady. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Olive Young Mabee; a son, George E. Mabee; a daughter, Miss Marilyn Mabee; his mother, Mrs. Susie Schelby of Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. Irving Countermine of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at the Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home at 21 Midline road, Ballston Lake. Rev. H. Clayton Ackley. pastor of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Park View cemetery in Schenectady. The funeral home will be open Sunday after 7 p.m.

The bride was gowned in blue georgette and carried a bridal bouquet of roses and sweet peas, while bridesmaid wore blue and carried roses. William Hiller was best man. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Mabee left for New York city. After February 24th they will be at home at 60 Cedarlawn Avenue.

Mabee, son of Mrs. William Schelby of Jay street, was held at the Methodist church in Canaan, Conn., on April 13. Rev. Chester E. Grossman officiating at the ceremony The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a white gown of lace aridnet, with long pointed sleeves and a short train Her fingertip length veil, fell from a crown of seed; pearls; and she carried an arm boquet of calla lilies. Mrs; George R. Carr of Holyoke, Mass., sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore an old rose gown of lace and net. She carried a colonial bouquet of spring flowers. John P. Young, Jr, of Amsterdam was best man A reception followed at the Eagles home. The bride's mother wore a navy blue suit and a corsage of white carnations. The couple .are making their home at 205 Duane. avenue. Mrs. Mabee is a graduate of Woestina High school and attended Pace Institute in New York. She was formerly employed in. the general office of the General Electric Co. Mr Mabee is a graduate of Schenectady schools and :was recently discharged from the US navy. He Is employed by the American Locomotive Co.
