She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived most of her life in New Britain and Kensington, moving to Florida a few years ago. She was the widow of Frank E Downes. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs Eleanor D Bouchard, of Kensington; one son, John E Downes of West Hartford; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Alice Parelli of Southington. Funeral services will be Tuesday from the Farrell Funeral Home, followed by mass at St Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, New Britain
