- Kenneth L. Mabey, 86, of Hamilton Square, died Wednesday, Mar. 14, 2008, in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
Born in Trenton on Apr. 27, 1922, Mr. Mabey was a lifelong Trenton area resident and retired as owner/television service repairman of Hi Lite TV. He was a US Coast Guard veteran, having served during WWII. Mr. Mabey was a member of the Mercer County Steel Quoit Church League and enjoyed vegetable gardening, billiards, woodworking, fishing and was an avid boxing fan.
Predeceased by his brother, George C. Mabey, and his son-in-law, Bill Breining, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Smith Mabey; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Denise Scheidell of Hamilton Square; his daughters, Barbara McConnell of West Palm Beach, FL and Cris Breining of Mercerville; a sister, Evelyn M. Culver of Palmetto, FL; his grandchildren, Samantha Riggs, Ramon McConnell, Kyle and Dylan Breining, and Amy Scheidell; three great-grandchildren, Richard, Aleysha and Ryan Riggs; and several nieces and nephews.
