- Andrea E. Mabey formerly of 6 Church St., Cuba, died Monday (Dec. 3, 2001) in the Cuba Memorial Hospital Residential Health Care Facility following a lengthy illness.
Born in Belfast Oct. 6, 1914, she was a daughter of Harry B. "Kernel" and Harriet Tingley Chalker. On July 3, 1937, she married George W. Mabey who died Aug 26, 1985.
She was a resident of Cuba for many years and delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered in t h e community for several years.
Mrs. Mabey was a graduate of the Belfast High School. She was a member of t h e First Baptist Church of Cuba and a life member of the McKee Chapter No. 212 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra K. Rork of Houston, Texas, and Harriet (Michael) Rapplean of Piano, Texas; a son, Raymond (Lek) Mabey of South Pattaya, Thailand; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Leilous of Belmont; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Linnie Waldorf; and two brothers, Howard Chalker and Harold Chalker.
Friends were received Tuesday at the Mclntosh Funeral Home (Nicholson Chapel), 24 Genesee Parkway, Cuba. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Dec. 5,2001) at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba.

- Sandra Rork was born in Cuba, New York, on December 4, 1940, to Andrea and George Mabey. She passed away on April 10, 2013 from pancreatic and stomach cancer. She graduated from Cuba Central High School in 1958 and Bryant and Stratton in Buffalo, New York, in 1959. Her working career started with Dresser Industries, in Olean, New York, moving to Dresser headquarters in Dallas, Texas, in 1969, and Houston in 1971; she also worked for NL Industries, Oceaneering and retiring from Fulbright and Jaworski L.L.P. in 2006.
Sandra is survived by her sister Harriet Rapplean (Mike)(Plano), brother Ray Mabey (Thailand), nephews Wes Rapplean (Plano), Raymond Mabey (McMinnville, Oregon) and two nieces Terri Hammond (Dave) (Portland, Oregon) and Kris Bennett (Gary) (Eagle River, Alaska).
She wished to thank all of her angels that have done so much for her. If you wish to make donations in her memory, please do so to a worthy cause of your choice or do something nice for a stranger. She felt so blessed to have had so many friends.
Sandra donated her body to Baylor College of Medicine for medical research and her ashes will be returned to the family for a private burial service in the Cuba Cemetery at the family's convenience.
