  	John Ballard, 86, a former resident of Mt. Vision RD, died Sunday, August 18, at the Binghamton State Hospital, Mr. Ballad was born April 30, 1885 m the Town of New Lisbon, the son of George and Melinda (Gardner) Ballard. He married Grace Mabey. He is survived by his wife, Grace of Rome; four daughters, Mrs. Clyde Hungerford of Cooperstown Junction, Miss Flora Ballard of Gloversville, Miss Rosetta Ballard of Frankfort, and Miss Mary Jo Ballard of Maryland; two sons, Elisher of Milford, and George. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, in the Patterson Funeral Home, Hartwick,with the Rev. Gerald P. Holmes, pastor of the Hartwick Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in Hartwick Cemetery.
