  	Vera Mae Mabee, 88, of Santa Maria, CA passed away on April 13, 2015. Vera Mae was born in Minot, North Dakota, on March 10, 1927. She moved with her family to Santa Maria in 1967. Vera Mae worked at Chapman College on VAFB for a few years and then went to work at Allen Hancock College in the admissions office for many years, until retirement. Vera Mae had many interests, volunteering at Bethel Lutheran Church which she loved and was a member since 1967. She also loved playing Bridge and Cribbage with her friends. Vera Mae is survived by her two sons and their families. Scott Mabee and his wife Eileen, of Spokane, WA; granddaughter Sarah and her husband Scott Kessler, of Sweet Home, OR; granddaughter Lindsey and her husband Mike Wendtlandt, great granddaughter Ava Louise Wendtlandt of Montlake Terrace, WA; son Roger Mabee and his wife Bethany, of New Bruaunfels TX; granddaughter Ashley and her husband William Hungerford, of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter Bethany and her husband Cameron Attebury, great granddaughter Scarlet Rose Attebury of San Antonio, TX; grandson Hunter Mabee, of New Bruaunfels TX. Vera Mae is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Walter (Bud) Mabee. Ver Mae's memorial will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, Santa Maria, CA at Resurrection.
