  	Gerben Meindertsma, 94, died Aug. 25, 2012, at his home in Sebastian. He was born in Driesum, Netherlands, and moved to Boca Raton in 1980, coming from New York. He had lived in Sebastian since 1991. He was a veteran serving with the Marines. He worked and retired from the Department of Corrections in New York. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Sebastian. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Marjorie; daughter, Linda Burns; son, Louis Meindertsma; brother, Peter Meindertsma; and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 29 at Fountainhead Funeral Home, Palm Bay.
