  Anecdote	Oliver W. Mabee, son of Oliver D. and Susan Mabee, was born in Ontario Canada on Feb 17,1857. He moved to Lincoln County, Iowa with his parents when he was 14 years old. The family moved to Sioux City, Iowa , and in 1876 they came to Turner County, D.T. and homesteaded in Germantown township. He married Ida L. Chrisman in 1883. They were parents of 2 children: Susie (Mrs. Roy Costain), and Fred. Ida died in 1887 and in 1888 he married Emma L. Chrisman, sister of his first wife . They were parents of a daughter, Ida Mabee Kilpatrick. They also gave home to a niece , Ethel Cheney (Mrs. Fred Polley). In 1910 Fred W . Mabee and his family moved into Parker. He died on April 7, 1932 .
