- George Ryle Maybee of Sharon passed away at 2:06 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017, in his residence, following an extended illness. He was 67.
Mr. Maybee was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Sharon, a son of Jess and Myrtle Sprow Maybee. He attended Howland (Ohio) High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
George retired as a draftsman in 1999 from T. Bruce Sales, West Middlesex, where he was employed for 30 years.
He attended Victory Christian Center, Coitsville, Ohio.
An outdoorsman, George loved hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed bowling and golfing, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are his wife, the former Randy E. Brannon, whom he married Jan. 29, 1984; four daughters, Kathleen Huff of West Middlesex, Georgia Maybee of Sharon, Jennifer Maybee of Hermitage and Lori Hivner and her husband, Douglas, of Hubbard; a son, Timothy Alfonsi and his fiancee, Delrena Deans, of Sharon; three sisters, Marilyn Barker of Georgia, Betty Lloyd of Florida and Darla Martin of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; and three brothers, Jess Maybee and his wife, Sandra, of Hartford, Ohio, Elton Maybee and his wife, Nancy, of Niles, Ohio, and Rick Maybee and his wife, Linda, of Austintown, Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Monica Koewacich.

- Jennifer R. Maybee, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, April 22, 2017, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, two days after the death of her father, George Maybee. She was 32
Jennifer was born Aug. 6, 1984, in Sharon, a daughter of George R. and Randy E. Brannon Maybee. She was a lifelong area resident and a 2005 graduate of Sharon High School.
Jennifer attended daily classes at the Verland Adult Training Center, Hermitage.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her siblings.
Surviving are: her mother, Randy E. Maybee, Sharon; three sisters, Kathleen Huff, West Middlesex; Georgia Maybee, Sharon; and Lori Hivner and her husband Douglas, Hubbard, Ohio; and a brother, Timothy Alfonsi and his fiancee Delrena Deans, Sharon.
