  Obituary	Robert Martin Sherman, 51, passed away on April 5, 2018 in Albany. The son of Evelyn (Mabee) Sherman and the late Edwin "Marty" Sherman, Robert was born on April 9, 1966 in Troy, NY. Robert served his country honorably and faithfully in the US Army. Reaching the rank of Specialist, Robert served during the Persian Gulf War as a Computer Specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1991. After his service he worked as a Fire and Smoke Alarm Specialist in Albany. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed sports, fishing and music. In addition to his father, Robert was predeceased by his nephew, Andrew Sherman. Robert is survived by his daughters: Kayleigh (Kyle) Rigney and Chelsea Sherman; his granddaughter, Olivia Rigney; his loving mother, Evelyn Sherman; his siblings: Manuel and Barbara Mabee, Mark and Caroline Sherman, Richard and Maria Guadalupe Sherman and Steven Sherman; his former wife, Erin Sherman; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial with military honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
