- Greensburg — Maryann Lucille Youngman, 83, of Osgood passed away Sunday, Dec. 26 at Manderly Health Care Center in Osgood.
She was born on June 13, 1927 in Shelby County to Edward and Ruth Maybee Schreiner. She married Cleo Youngman on July 15, 1943, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1990.
She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking for many weddings and other church-related events. She was a very devoted member of St. Maurice Catholic Church of Napoloeon.
She is survived by her sons James (Joyce) Youngman of Osgood, Michael (Susan) Youngman of Madison, Robert (Barb) Youngman of Napoleon and Thomas Youngman of Osgood; her daughter Carol (Steve) Spencer of Batesville; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; her sisters Marie Herbert of Greensburg, Betty Jean Sandhage of Elizabethtown and Joan Tebbe of Madison; her brothers Frank Schreiner of Greensburg and Donald Schreiner of Carmel.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Paul (Bud), John (Jack) and James Schreiner as well as great-grandchild Justin Ricke.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Neal's Funeral Home in Batesville.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30 at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

- Paul E. Schreiner, 68, Kokomo, Ind., died at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 1995 at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.
Born July 8, 1926 in Rush County, Ind., he was the son of Edward J. and Ruth F. (Mabee) Schreiner. He married Anna M. Sylvia in Greensburg on Jan. 31, 1951, and she survives.
He was manager of Environmental Engineering at Continental Steel Corp. for 34 years. He also worked five years in the Engineering Department at Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1993 and was a private consultant in the Environmental Engineering field. He was a 1951 graduate of Purdue University in Civil Engineering. He served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kokomo, John Purdue Club, Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge 190, Moose Lodge 179, American Legion Post 6, Kokomo Engineering Society, the Iron and Steel Institute, and was active with Junior Achievement.
He is survived by his wife; one step-son, Gerald Boling of Falls Church, Va.; four brothers, John Schreiner of Shelbyville; Frank (Dorothy) Schreiner of Greensburg, Donald (Kathy) Schreiner of Indianapolis, and James (Myrtle) Schreiner of Fountaintown, Ind.; four sisters, Marie (Robert) Herbert of Greensburg, Lucille Youngman of Napoleon, Ind., Elizabeth (Henry) Sandhage of Columbus, Ind., and Joan (Dennis) Tebbe of Madison, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kokomo with the Rev. David E. Hellmann officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Sunset Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kokomo.
Memorials may be made to the St. Joan of Arc Children's Fund.

- John A. Schreiner, 81, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at the Brown County Health and Living Center.
He was born July 4, 1929, outside Middletown, the son of John E. and Ruth MaBee Schreiner. He spent his childhood on the Middletown farm, where he was born and attended Decatur County schools. A veteran of the Marine Corps, he was a staff sergeant serving in Korea from 1951 to 1953 as a member of the 1st Marine Airwing. He worked as Wellman's and General Electric, retiring in 1991. In addition to fossil hunting with his family, he enjoyed traveling, watching, coaching and cheering on girls' fastpitch softball games and was an honorary assistant coach for the Shelbyville High School varsity team. He continued to coach as his health allowed and cheered on the girls through this past season. The highlight of his summer was attending the World Fastpitch Girls' Softball Tournament in Columbus.
He is survived by his former wife, Jean Porter; four children, John Schreiner, Susannah Bush, Jacqui Culver and Shawn Garvey; six siblings, Marie Herbert, Lucille Youngman, Frank Schreiner, Don Schreiner, Betty Sandhage and Joan Tebbe; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Schreiner; his parents; and two brothers, Bud Schreiner and Jim Schreiner.
A celebration of life service was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1201 North Riley Highway, Shelbyville. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Greensburg
