- On Saturday evening, Oct. 16, as Mrs. Pellum Mabee, of Nixon, and her daughter Nellie, and the hired man named George Smith, were returning home from the Walsh fair in a buggy, when near the residence of Mr. James Mabee the rig was run into by another vehicle and smashed and the three occupants thrown into the road and badly injured. They were taken to Dr. Kennedy's office in Vittoria, by a Mr. Broughner, and their injuries attended to. Mrs. Mabee's arm was broken and her back hurt; Miss Nellie's arm was broken, and old Mr. Smith was seriously hurt in various ways, and his son, Mr. Joseph Smith G. T. R. brakeman, Port Dover, was sent for. Mrs Mabee and her daughter were removed to their home in Nixon. It is said that the parties who drove into them were strangers and were driving in a furious and reckless manner.

- Sarah Frances Brown died on 8 Jan 1911 at 45 E. Pennington Street in Tucson of Broncho-pneumonia She was born in Canada to Pellum Mabee and Sarah A. Elliott. She was married and died at age 54 years, 8 months, and 27 days. Her sister, Helen Moe, with whom she was living with, was the informant.. She was buried 10 Jan 1911 at the Evergreen Cemetery, in Tucson.

- Dr William E Mabee, 63 years of age, who was an instructor in the dental college, University of Southern California, before engaging in the private practice of dentistry in Los Angeles twenty years ago, suffered a stroke of apoplexy yesterday and died at his home, 321 South Van Ness avenue.
Born in Canada, Dr Mabee was a graduate of Iowa State University. Before coming to Los Angeles he practiced dentistry for a short period in Galesburg, Ill. He was a thirty-second Degree Mason. He leaves his widow, Grace Widney Mabee, prominent in musical circles; three children, Mrs Edward G Wormhaudt, Marian Mabee, student at the University of Southern California, and William E Mabee, Jr, student in the dental college, USC, and three brothers and one sister, Dr O. P. Mabee of Galesburg, Dr J. R.. Mabee of Chicago, and Henry and Nellie Mabee of Detroit.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at the Wee Kirk o' the Heather, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
