- William F. Cowan, life long resident of Langton died at his home there on Sunday, following a lengthy illness, in his 70th year.
son of Mrs. Agnes Mabee Cowan and the late Alex Cowan, deceased was born on the homestead where he lived and farmed all his life. He was a devoted member of Langton Baptist Church and was active in church work.
Besided his wife, the former Hazel Bain, he leaves one son, Donald, of Langton; three daughters, Mrs. Gordon Pulley (Helen), of R.R. 2, Langton, Mrs. Reaves Snow (Marie) of New Lowell and Mrs Richard Loesch (Marjorie), of London; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Cowan aged 95, and one brother, Colin, both of Brownsville; and one sister, Mrs. Howard J. Alexander of Tillsonburg; also eight grandchildren.
Service Wednesday from Langton Baptist Church at two o'clock with Rev. Douglas Shuter officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles Saunders of New Sarum. Pallbearers are Russell and Lorne Jamieson, Frank Robinson, Harry Chivers, Harold Boughner and Leland Anscombe. Interment Langton Cemetery
