- Funeral services for Jacob Van Wycke, 48, of 183 Highland Ave, are to be held today at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Garfield.
Mr Van Wycke died Thursday in North Hudson Hospital, Weehawken.
Born in Garfield, he had resided there until moving to Passaic four years ago. He was a foreman with the Aetna Leather Co, West New York for 25 years.
Surviving are four sons: Jack and Salvatore, both of Garfield; Robert and Michael, both of Clifton; his father, Paul Van Wycke of Leona and a stepfather, Eugene Dates of Passaic.

- Leonia – Former Police Chief Paul Van Wycke died Saturday (1 Mar 1975) in Englewood Heights Hospital.
Joining the Leona Police Force in 1926, he was appointed chief after 27 years of service. Chief Van Wycke retired in 1968, at age 70, having been retained on the force for five years past the usual retirement age.
Born in Arcola, he was a resident of Leonia fo 50 years.
He was a member of the PBA Local 86, the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police, the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association, the Townly Lodge 200 F and AM, the Police Square Club, and the Courthouse Square Club, Hackensack.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; two daughters, Leann of Leonia and Paula Raucci of Fairview; and six grandchildren.
There will be a Masonic service tomorrow and a PBA service on Wednesday at the Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.
Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Englewood..
