And this Declarant further declares that her father the said Isaac Palmatier was a soldier of the United States during said War of the Revolution & was frequently called into service in the Albany County militia to which he belonged and that while in said service he was taken a prisoner by the British, conveyed to Canada, and retained in imprisonment for more than eighteen months. Declarant thinks for period of two years. That he was thus taken prisoner several years previous to the close of said War, and as this Declarant has been informed in the company with Lieutenant Pouter and a number of others the names of whom this Declarant cannot now remember. That this Declarant cannot state under what officers her father served, but well knows that he was frequently absent from home upon military expeditions from the commencement of the said War until the time of his capture as aforesaid. And this Declarant further testified that her father the said Isaac Palmatier departed this life five years previous to the decease of her mother as aforesaid and that her mother the said Nelly Palmatier remained the widow of the said Isaac until the said time of her decease to wit, the 27 day of February 1837 aforesaid.
