- Will of Peter Mabee, dated 3/25/1769, proved 7/8/1772, names his wife Cathalinte, his brother Johannes, his eldest son Casparus, sons Peter, Joost, Jeremiah, Abraham, and youngest son Cornelius, and daughters Elizabeth (wife of Abraham Harring), Sophia (wife of Johannes De Lamater) and Mary (wife of John Westervelt). NOT mentioned: Johannes and Rachel. Also named as executor is "my loving brother Johannes". Note that Johannes was still alive, and served as an executor, when the will was proved in July 1772.

- The 4/5/1773 edition of "The New York Gazette and the Weekly Mercury" contained an advertisement for the 4/21/1773 sale, at public vendue, of the "well noted house of Casparus Mabie, situate in Orange town."
This is the house and tavern that Casparus built in 1754 that was later used to house Major Andre during his trial, and which now stands os The Olde 76 House restaurant.
