  	Dr. W.A. Mabie, 77, expired Wednesday morning at 12:45 o:clock at his home at 321 South Detroit Street. Dr. Mabie had been ill for the past week and ailing for the past five years, suffering from general breakdown, due to paralysis. Dr. Mabie was born in Kosciusko county, May 16, 1857, son of Eli and Eliza Mabie. He resided in this county all his life. He was united in marriage December 30, 1876, to Katherine Secrist, who is among the surviving relatives. Dr. Mabie was a veterinarian by profession. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides the widow, two sons, Bert O. Mabie, of Warsaw, and Thomas A. Mabie of Kansas City, one daughter, Mrs Blanche Hazen of South Bend, one sister, Mrs. Charles Weimer of near North Webster, and seven grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be at North Webster.
