- Mrs Grace Cunningham Mabie, wife of Louis F Mabie, 835 East Fourth Street, Ontario, died early today at the Pomona hospital, where she recently underwent a major surgical operation, at the age of 52.
Besides the widower, Mrs Mabie is survived by one daughter, Miss Aloha Jeane Mabie. She had been a resident of the West End for the last four years, having made her home in the Fontana district before coming to Ontario.
Funeral services are to be held Saturday at the chapel of J B Draper & Co. Members of Euclid chapter, Order of Eastern Star, to which Mrs Mabie belonged, will be in charge of the services. The remains are to be cremated.

- A memorial service was to be conducted today for John W Grant, 93, Visalia, who died Thursday in a Visalia convalescent hospital.
A native of Scotland, he came to California as a boy and settled in the Chino Area, where he farmed most of his adult life. He married Aloha Mabie in Ontario in November 1931. They moved to Visalia in 1966 when Mr Grant retired.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Pirie Grant, Othello, Wash, and Donald Grant, Visalia; one daughter, Jean Harenburg, Boise, Idaho; one brother George Grant, Upland; three sisters, Peggy Faber, Orange, Isabell McKensie, Fullerton, and Helen Craig, Pasadena; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
