- Graveside services for Joseph S. Mabee, 73, Klamath Falls, Ore formerly Boise Valley, who died Wednesday in Klamath Falls, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morris Hill Cemetery by Pastor Orin Hardbrook, Star Christian Church, under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
He was born Jan 26, 1903, in Middleton, and was reared in Boise Valley. He lived in Middleton and Eagle and was in the cattle business with his father for several years. In 1945, he established a dude ranch on Big Creek in the Primitive Area northeast of McCall
In 1953 he moved to Reno and operated a construction business until his retirement. He later moved to Klamath Falls.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, Klamath Falls, three daughters, Mrs Genevive Errebo and Billy Jean both Boise, and Caroline Jo Mabee, Klamath Falls, and a son, Joseph James, Klamath Falls.

- Carole Wilhemina Mabee, 79, of Colbert, Wash., who often visited relatives in Klamath Falls, died March 27, 2000, in Spokane, Wash., of natural causes
Mrs Mabee was born June 6, 1920, in Bradstedt, Germany, the daughter of Rudolph and Dora Hamms Brunholtz.
After her family moved from Germany and settled in Nebraska in 1936 to farm, her family taught themselves English so she could go to school. She graduated from high school in Cairo, Neb.
She met her future husband, Joe Mabee, while visiting her sister in Hutchington, Kansas. They were married in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Mrs Mabee and her husband built the Open AJ Ranch, a dude ranch, in a primitive area of Idaho and operated until 1952. They moved to Bend, Reno, Colorado and Southern Oregon before retiring in Colbert.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Joe and Susan Mabee of Klamath Falls; daughter and special friend Carolyn Mabee and Stan Strago of Alaska; granddaughter, Tonya Mabee, great-grandson Darien Mabee, brother and sister in law, Rudy and Georgia Brunholtz; and sisters and brother in law, Donna and Joe Vogel, Cecelia Belk, and Margaret Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; brother Johnny; and sisters, Emma and Karla.

- Memorial service for Carole Wilhemina (Brunholtz) Mabee, 79, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at ther Greenbluff Community United Church. Burial was held at the Bedfield Cemetery in South Poe Valley in Oregon.
A 12 year Colbert resident, Mrs Mabee died March 27, She was born in Bradstedt, Germany.
Her family left Germany in 1926 and setteled in Nebraska to farm. She graduated from high school in Cairo, Neb.
She married Joe Mabee in 1942, and they operated Open AJ Ranch in Idaho until 1952. They also lived in Bend Ore., Reno, Colorado and southern Oregon.
Mrs Mabee was a member of the Greenbluff Community United Methodist Church where she served on thee Outreach committees.
Survivors include a son, Joe Mabee of Klamath Falls, Ore.: a daughter Carolyn Mabee of Alaska; a longtime friend Frank Rossi of Colbert; a brother Rudy Brunholtz; three sisters, Donna Vogel, Cecelia Belk and Margaret Long; a granddaughter and a great grandson.
