- Marguerite E. Horman, 91, formerly of Fonda, NY passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Fulton Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Gloversville, NY. She was born April 20, 1930 a daughter of the late Elizabeth Jakot and Nicholas Gillen. Marguerite married the late Frederick C. Horman who passed away in February 1986. She was also predeceased by her first husband James Mabee. She is survived by one son, Ronald Mabee and his wife Sally of Amsterdam. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Nicholas, William and Richard Gillen.
Survivors also include, her sister- in-law, Ann Szabo (Daniel) of Galway, NY . Nieces and nephews, Stacia Stock (Timothy) of Caroga Lake, NY and their children, Renee, Nicole, Annie and Hanna. Ralph (Barb), William (Carla) and Mark (Gail) Gillen, Nicholas and David Gillen, Beth Hogan (Joe), Richard (Nikki) Gillen. Three cousins, Eugene Dado of Seattle Washington, Ruth Christman of Florida and Amy Walag of Broadalbin, NY, Charlotte Klymkow and Marion Walag of Broadalbin, NY. She was also predeceased by nephews, Thomas and Joseph Gillen. Marguerite was a member of the former Saving Grace Baptist Church of Fonda, NY.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY. Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday November 6, 2021 prior to the funeral services from 11:00AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, NY.

- The Pleasantdale Chapel in Pleasantdale, N. Y., was the scene of the wedding of Miss Marguerite C. Gillen, daughter of Mrs. Nicholas Gillen, Fultonville, R. D. 2. and James Hamilton Mabee, son of Mr. and Mrs, William Mabee, 50 Mechanic Street, this city, which took place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. A. L. Cassey officiated, performing the ceremony before an altar decorated with peonies and an assortment of Summer flowers.
The attendants were Mrs. Katherine Dado, Amsterdam, aunt of the bride, and Donald Evans Davis,
also of this city.
The bride wore a poudre blue dress with, white accessories and a corsage of white orchids. The matron of honor wore a pale pink linen dress, white accessories and a corsage of red roses, sweet peas and baby's breath.
The bride's mother was attired in a navy blue print dress with a natural color straw hat while the bridegroom's mother wore a light blue print dress and navy blue hat. Each wore a corsage of red roses and pompons.
A reception was held at the bride's home.
The bride attended Fultonville High School and is employed at Gaby's Children Shop in this city. Mr. Mabee attended the Amsterdam schools and is employed in contracting work. Mr. and Mrs. Mabee will reside in Fultonville
