  	Word was received at Salamanca yesterday morning that one of Salamanca's pioneers and oldest residents. Hiram Maybee, had died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. R. Thomas, at Correy, Pa, Mr. Maybee was 83 years old and went to Salamanca when it was but a wilderness, forty yeans ago. He leaves five children: J. J., of Bradford, Pa.; N. H., of Correy, Pa.; Mrs. C. R. Thomas, of Correy; H. M.. of Dayton, Ohio. The remains will be taken to Salamanca for burial to-day.
