  	Edward W. Mabey Sr. died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Wayne View Subacute and Rehabilitation Center, Montville, following a long illness. He was 87. Mr. Mabey was born and raised in the Towaco section of Montville Township and lived in Las Vegas, Nev., for 13 years before moving to Ogdensburg 13 years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, landing with the first wave on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion. He was employed as a foreman, rigger, and truck driver with Main Trucking and Rigging Company in Elmwood Park for 30 years before retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie "Joy" (nee Smith); son, Edward W., Jr. of Dingman's Ferry, Pa.; daughter, Dolores Kuhne of Ogdensburg; brothers, Gerald of Fredon Township, David of Brick Township and William of Montville; sister, Violet of Fredon Township; and his grandchildren, Jamie Hariegel, Kyle J. and Brandon N. Mabey. Funeral services will conducted from the Mackey Funeral Home, 197 Essex Ave. Boonton on Tuesday, June 19, at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at the Montville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Towaco. Friends may call Monday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
